About Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry allows patients to comfortably experience a trip to the periodontist’s office. It is ideal for people who:

  • Have an extreme fear of the dentist
  • Have had prior dental experiences that were traumatic
  • Cannot easily get numb
  • Have an uncontrollable or strong gag reflex
  • Have teeth that are very sensitive
  • Have many dental issues
  • Are afraid of needles
  • Do not like the sensations (tastes, smells, sounds) of the dental office
  • Are embarrassed by the state of their mouths
We have offered patients IV conscious relaxation sedation dentistry for more than two decades. IV conscious sedation is a valuable tool to promote relaxation and a feeling of control throughout all dental procedures.

About IV Conscious Relaxation Sedation Dentistry

Before a dental surgery or other procedure, medications are given to patients through an IV. We can continuously determine how much of the drug is going into the patient’s bloodstream. At all times, the patient is monitored to determine heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, and other vital signs. Although the patient is awake, he or she will have a sense of “amnesia” when the procedure is finished.

If you are interested in learning more about IV conscious sedation dentistry, contact Dr. Trylovich, Dr. Gifford, Dr. Mantor, and Dr. Goaslind in Las Vegas. Never allow dental anxiety to keep you from staying in the best oral health possible!
