Our Specialties:
Implant Dentistry - We have been placing dental implants since 1993 using a variety of systems, but now primarily using the Nobelbiocare Select and Astra systems. We work closely with the referring general dentists so that the patient receives the optimal outcome. Our goal is to replace the missing teeth with teeth that will function well and look good. Patients who do no have any teeth can benefit tremendously from implants that can be used to secure their dentures. This helps them function better, preserves their remaining bone, and gives them more self-confidence when socializing. These types of patients often fear being in public because their dentures move when they talk and eat. The best outcome for the patient requires close communication between our office and the patient's referring dentist. We would be happy to find you a great dentist if you do not have one already.
Cosmetic Treatment - The smile is composed of the teeth, gums and lips. The lips represent the frame and the gums act as a matting around the picture which is the teeth. All must be in harmony for the best esthetic result. We recommend that patients have a consultation prior to proceeding with treatment such as veneers or crowns on their front teeth. We can often improve the final results of their treatment by performing minor procedures on the gums to create the ideal smile. The gum lift procedure is a magnificent procedure which most patients and even some dentists do not realize can be done. You can contact us for a brochure that we have created using our own patients as examples.
Periodontal Therapy - As periodontists, we specialize in the treatment of gum disease. Gum disease has now been identified to increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, premature low birth weight babies, and diabetes. It is now more important than ever to have healthy gums. We perform both non-surgical and surgical procedures to stop the progression of gum disease and in some cases rebuild the lost bone. We also use the Perioscope which is a microscope that allows us to view the root surfaces below the gums. This new innovation has drastically changed the way we treat periodontal disease. This gives us the ability to clean the roots of some teeth with deep pocketing without having to do surgery. Patients have been ecstatic that they can have these isolated deep areas treated and return to normal function the next day with only minor discomfort.
